Schertz is home to several outstanding places of worship that will leave you feeling right at home. These churches are the most influential across the city, according to multiple online sources, with worship leaders hosting services every week.

 

Oak Hills Church, Journey Fellowship Campus

Location: 16847 IH 35 North, Selma, TX 78154

Services: Saturdays at 6:00pm and Sundays at 9:30am and 11:15am

The Journey Fellowship campus began in 2005, and bills itself as a great place for those who have not felt comfortable at a traditional church. The community hosts smaller, tight-knit events for Christ Followers across the city. The modern feel of the church will make you feel right at home with smiling faces and warm greetings right when you enter. The church offers Women’s Bible Studies throughout the year to help women of the church community connect and grow with other women. Kids can also partake in the weekend bible classes, Bibleland, suitable for kids ages 3 months through 5th grade. There are many Oak Hills locations across the state including neighboring Fredericksburg. Journey Fellowship is located in northeast San Antonio, directly off I-35.

 

Good Shepherd Catholic Church

Location: 1065 E Live Oak Rd, Schertz, TX 78154

Services: Weekend Masses Saturday at 5:30pm and Sundays at 8:00am and 11:30am.

The Church of the Good Shepherd is another faith-filled community located in Schertz. A Catholic church, the community is very welcoming with new families. Children can attend 8 am mass, or for religious education services, children's classes are offered with 3-4 assistants per class.  These Religious Education Classes are offered for Pre-K through 10th grade. They include preparation for the Holy Eucharist, Delayed Sacramental Preparation, and Confirmation.

 

Good Shepherd is associated with the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located in nearby Marion.

Word of Life Fellowship

Location: 1531 Jasmine Dr., Schertz TX ,78154-3738

Services: Saturdays at 5:30pm and Sundays at 8:30am and 10:45am

Word of Life Fellowship, a Lutheran church, is a Christ-centered, Bible-based, family-focused, and community-connected church. The church is open to people of all backgrounds. If you are looking into researching about Christianity, Word of Life Fellowship is the place to visit to explore relevant issues and discuss your concerns. Spiritual seekers and passionate Christians are all welcomed to learn, inspire and worship. The church also offers a weekly Lawn & Gospel outdoor worship services as well as Women's Bible studies.

 

Crosspoint Fellowship Church

Location: 2600 Roy Richard Dr, Schertz, Texas 78154

Services: Mon-Thu at 8:30am - 5:00pm and Sundays 7:30am - 12:30pm

Crosspoint Fellowship Church began in 2003 with the goal of creating a church where everyone would love to attend. The church's mission is to engage culture, expand the kingdom, enable people to serve and experience community. The atmosphere is casual, friendly and helpful to people from all walks of life. The services address real-life issues and build believers for the Kingdom of God. Each weekend hundreds of followers of all ages gather to enjoy the services and leave with more knowledge about the Bible in a creative, compelling and relevant way.  The church offers both women's and a men's ministries, along with am excellent youth program that includes teens, school age children, and small children.

 

Schertz Church of Christ

Location: 501 Schertz Pkwy, Schertz, TX, 78154

Services: Sundays 9:30 am, 10:30 am, 6:00 pm

The Schertz Church of Christ follows the New Testament pattern in worship, doctrine, and Christian living. The church is the place for people to connect to each other as a spiritual family. Bible lessons are hosted, and offer a place where you can learn lectures in a warm and friendly environment. You will feel right at home with weekly worship service that is simple, reverent, and sincere. The church is involved in several programs of foreign, national, and local evangelism.  You can also find a few services for the kids to attend such as Clubhouse, for birth to pre-kindergarten with Bible lessons, and Fusion56, for pre-teens in grades 5th through 6th which focuses on helping pre-teens discover and pursue a faith of their own.
