Buffalo Crossing: Snapshot of a Thriving Community

Located in Cibolo, Buffalo Crossing is built on a rolling terrain surrounded by oak trees and cotton fields. This young neighborhood offers easy country living close enough to civilization. Legend has it that the railroad requested that local businessman, Mr. Sclather name the town of Cibolo back in 1875. He named it after Cibolo Creek, a name which roots from the Comanche language. Cibolo is "buffalo" in Native American, which could be the reason for both the name Buffalo Crossing and the logo of the neighborhood.

Cibolo is located on the intersection of I-35 and I-10, only 13 miles away from the San Antonio metropolitan area. Austin, New Braunfels and San Marcos are also within easy reach.  Another ideally located neighborhood for those wanting to live just outside of San Antonio, Buffalo Crossing is four miles from the I-35 and seven miles from Loop 1604.

 Established, Quality Neighborhood

Buffalo Crossing was first established in 2001, when the ground was broken for the first homes to be built. A well-thoughtout plan was used to create the initial, forward-directed community, which consists of empty-nesters, military and civilian families.

The original community plan continues to guide the growth of the community, as new areas continue to be developed. This exciting growth continues to enhance the value of the homes, while attracting new homeowners.
