The Forum at Olympia Parkway – Though technically located in Selma, The Forum at Olympia Parkway is a less-than 10 minute drive away from Schertz, and it serves as the area’s foremost shopping center. With everything from craft and DIY stores to shops for music, games, clothing, toys, shoes, accessories and home décor, there’s something for everyone at The Forum. There are even restaurants, spas and salons if you need to take a load off during your busy day of shopping.- Bussey’s Flea Market – Looking for something truly unique? Maybe a vintage item or an antique of some sort? Bussey’s Flea Market is your answer. Open every Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m to 5 p.m, you’ll find all sorts of fun and one-of-a-kind gift items here. There are even snack bars, covered picnic tables and rest areas, so you can really make a day of it.
- Kris Kringle Market – While you can’t visit it on Black Friday, the Schertz Community Center is hosting a holiday gift market on Dec. 5, where you can find all kinds of handmade and hand-crafted gifts. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will have more than 50 vendors on site. There will also be a silent auction benefitting the Samuel Clemens Belles & Stars.

Premium Outlets & Tanger Outlet Mall – If you’re really looking for some good sales and don’t mind a short, 30-minute drive, the outlet malls in nearby San Marcos are a great choice. The malls offer all sorts of premium stores, like Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, Express, The Disney Store, Old Navy, Vans, The Limited, Adidas, Reebok, PacSun and more, and they all boast significantly lower prices than the stores you’d find in traditional malls. Just be sure to get there early. People travel from all over for these deals! - Best Friendz – A unique little store designed just for gift-givers, Best Friendz offers everything from candles, jewelry, artwork and home décor to shoes, purses and other accessories. There are also holiday-themed items, a baby section and more. Everything has a “Texas twist,” too, making them perfect for your out-of-town friends and family.
- Rolling Oaks Mall – With everything from upscale jewelers and clothing stores to skate shops, home décor retailers and toy stores, Rolling Oaks has a little bit of everything. If you’re bringing the kids along for the ride, you can even stop by for a visit and photo with Santa Claus. Here’s there every day through the holidays.
- The RIM – The RIM is a huge shopping center just around the corner from Schertz. It boasts all manner of clothing, shoe and accessory stores, and it even has stores for sporting goods, electronics, furniture, home décor, and more. There’s also a Nordstrom Rack, a PetSmart and plenty of dining options to whet your whistle while you shop.
