First Baptist Academy, located at 1401 Pat Booker Rd in Universal City, was established in 1979 as a preschool and now serves students from pre-k through 12th grade. Committed to delivering a quality Christian education, the school builds its curriculum through a “prayerful, considerate process”, creating a strong developmental curriculum that supports studies in music, computer science, and library science, among others. St. Monica Catholic School, at 515 North Street in Converse, was founded in the fall of 1960. Recognized in the spring of 2014 as one out of ten schools in the San Antonio Archdiocese for record high enrollment, the school provides students with a challenging academic curriculum with Catholic values. Serving pre-k through 8th grade, the teacher-student ratios at the school average 20 to 1 in K -8th grades, and 13 to 1 in the early childhood program. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, at 16075 N Evans Rd in Selma, is one of the oldest Catholic schools in the area, opening in 1901. The school “exists to provide quality education and Christian formation of the whole person by encouraging development of each student’s talents in the service of God and others.” They strive to meet the needs of each student by emphasizing mutual respect, dignity, and appreciation of one’s giftedness, and as such students are challenged to develop and grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically. River City Believers Academy at 16765 Lookout Road in Selma serves 173 students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The 110 acre campus is located on the campus of River City Community Church and was recently ranked in the top five private high schools in the San Antonio metro area. This Christian school aims to prepare students for real life and is a committed to delivering a Bible-based college prep curriculum that equips students to serve and lead in today’s world.

Triumphant Lutheran Preschool is located at 21315 Bat Cave Road in Garden Ridge, TX. The school strives to prepare children for kindergarten by working with the alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes. Additionally, it enhances children’s learning experiences by teaching through specific themes each month. Triumphant Lutheran Preschool serves children ages 3-5 with a capacity of 68.

Children's Lighthouse Learning Center, 2080 Schertz Parkway, offers a private kindergarten program in addition to serving as a childcare facility.
